Sunday 9th September, freshnlo’s Pedal for Scotland Glasgow-Edinburgh annual bike ride comes along some of Edinburgh’s Innertube map routes reaching the finishing point at Murrayfield.
Now in its 14th year, there are two rides to choose from – the Challenge ride which is 47 miles, or the 110-mile Sportive. They both start and end in the same places.
Last year 8,000 people took part, making Pedal for Scotland one of the biggest cycling events in Scotland. It is suitable for ages – it’s not a race (well, the Sportive may be) and there are regular food and refreshment stops.
If you aren’t taking part, but will be out and about on the Dalmeny-Haymarket route, expect some congestion!
