Big path clean up – 14th April

The annual big litter pick on the North Edinburgh paths needs your help on Sunday 14th April.

Organised by local volunteers, this annual clean up is one of the best ways of eradicating litter and dumping along large stretches of paths to make a noticeable difference before Spring sets in properly.

Starting at 10am, there are three bases to collect equipment and set off from:

  • the Bangholm Outdoor Education Centre, just along from Fiveways Junction on the Hawthornvale Path
  • the Crewe Toll Bridge over Ferry Road at Granton
  • near Wester Drylaw Drive on the Drylaw Path

Bags, gloves and litter pickers are all provided (although bringing your own sturdy gardening gloves is advised just in case) and there are refreshments too.

If you are annoyed by an especially irritating piece of fly tipping, this is your chance to do something about it, with others on hand to help if it’s particularly big.

Help the Clean Up by spreading the word, on line or with this
